5 things Christians can do on New Years Eve

WATCH-NIGHT SERVICE

There are many churches across the UK which put on awesome watch-night services. These consist of worship time, a sermon, and some good old praying for a great next year. Theres a countdown until midnight and then a big praise party. If you like the sound of that, check out KICC's watch-night service featuring Grammy nominated Travis Greene.

GAMES NIGHT

Why not host a New Years Eve party at your home? Invite some friends round for some nibbles, drinks, music and games. It could be a great way to reminisce over the last year and go into the New Year with the people closest to you. A great game to play with friends is Articulate. Get into teams and battle it out for the crown! Dont forget to set a reminder for 11:59pm so you can countdown into the New Year!

FIREWORKS

Fancy some epic imagery? Theres dozens of firework displays across the UK that you can go to. Most of them are free and as long as you leave plenty of time to get there, you should be able to secure a great spot with great views! The key is to get as close to Big Ben as possible. Four viewing areas include Victoria Embankment, Temple, and Southbank behind the London Eye.

KEEP IT COSY

For some people, theres nothing more enjoyable than putting on a onesie, sticking the TV on and cosying up on the sofa for the night. If thats your thing, go for it! Great shows on the box that night include Piers Morgans life stories episode with Cilla Black and if that doesnt tickle your fancy, you could always watch one of your favourites on DVD! Dont forget to take time out to give God thanks for helping you see through this year!

GET AWAY

New Years Eve is a time to reminisce and reflect on what has been and what is to come. Why not go somewhere nice to do so. There are a number of places in the UK which provide amazing scenery and greenery and places like these make great getaway spots. Whether its a cosy cottage or the lovely Lake District, make the most of it!

New Years Eve has become a pretty big thing. Its a chance to bring in a new season in style but as ever, the world uses that notion and puts its own spin on it. What does this mean for the Christian that doesnt like the sound of that but still wants to find a cool way to bring in the New Year? Well weve put together 5 pretty fun solutions that ensure you can bring in the New Year in a way that would make God proud!
