The group did not only win the title but will also open the finale event at Music + Arts 3-day international choir gathering taking place on Saturday 29th April brought to the UK for the first time by GRAMMY Award-winning choirmaster Donald Lawrence,. As they continue their musical journey, the Kent Gospel Choir can use this accolade as a springboard for further success, whether it be through performances, recordings, or collaborations with other musicians. Their achievement will also inspire other university choirs to strive for excellence in their own performances and pursue their passion for gospel music. Congratulations to the Kent Gospel Choir on being crowned University Gospel Choir of the Year. May their success serve as a reminder of the power of gospel music to uplift, inspire, and bring people together and closer to God.
