Premier Gospel hosts A Very #MerkyChristmas

British icon Stormzy and his Merky Foundation put on an evening of good times of God last night with the very first #MerkyChristmas Gospel evening hosted by Premier Gospel presenters Muyiwa Olarewaju OBE and Cassandra Maria. The night, exclusive to those who live in the borough of Croydon, saw 100s gathered at the prestigious Fairfield Hall to celebrate the Christmas period. This was the first event in a two parter and kicked off the festivities with a bang. Some of the UKs most prominent Christian artists performed, such as Becca Folkes, Tab Worship, Volney Morgan & New Ye, as well as TV star Emmanuel Smith and rising sensation Grace Tena. MOBO Award winning Guvna B also took to the stage to rap two of his popular tracks, Nothing But The Blood and Fall On Me. Tickets to the event were free to those who lived in Croydon, hometown of the man behind the Merky movement Stormzy, and they got to see the rapper himself perform two of his most God led tracks, Holy Spirit and Blinded By His Grace. The night saw families come together to celebrate Christmas and spread the light, love and message of Jesus through music. Hosts Muyiwa and Cass tied each act together seamlessly with laughter and spreading the word of God ensuring everyone in the room left feeling blessed. The concert will be broadcast on Premier Gospel Radio on Christmas Day with a special show with Stormzy on Christmas Eve. Check out our full Christian schedule on our website.
