TKE3: "nobody wanted me to make Christian music"

Christian music in the UK has gone on leaps and bounds over the last few years with new and exciting artists emerging all the time. One artist who has stepped in to the world and is set to raise the bar sky high is TKE3.

TKE3, pronounced 'take 3', has been making music for God since 2020, debuting his first EP 'Amen' in June that year. Since then, he's had a steady release of high quality songs with the latest being 'Price'. Featured on our own Apple Music playlist we thought it was about time we caught up with thre artist to see what he's all about.

In a listening party vibe, Cassandra sat down with TKE3 to talk all things music whilst listening to his latest unreleased project 'Summer Take'. A diverse project with 10 incredibly produced tracks, Summer Take is bound to raise the bar for the Christian music world, edifying God whilst brinding the gap between the secular and Christian music worlds.

The artist revealed during the interview that he was making music since the age of 13 and in 2020 he was 'arrested' by God and convicted to change the direction of his sound:

This decicion didn't go down well, with him being told that he was making a mistake: "[when I told my manager I want to start making Christian music his response was] 'what?!' He was not having it! But then he said 'I hear you, but what about all the stuff we had planned and invested?...I spoke to other friends and they were like 'you are making a mistake'. I felt all the pain but in my mind, it was no longer about the numbers it was about me living for God.'

You can listen to the full chat here and follow TKE3 on Instagram here to be in the know of when his project drops. Catch Cassandra weekdays from 6pm on Premier Gospel radio.
